Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring that guest rooms, common areas, and facilities are clean, well-presented, and maintained to the highest standard, contributing to a warm and welcoming environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Make beds with fresh linen and ensure all bedding is neat and presentable
- Replenish amenities such as toiletries, tissues, tea/coffee supplies, water, and minibar items as required
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces (e.g. remote controls, light switches, door handles) in line with hygiene protocols
- Clean windows, mirrors, doors, and glass surfaces as needed
- Greet guests courteously when encountered in public areas and respond promptly to guest requests (e.g. extra towels, pillows, amenities) and communicate requests to the front desk if needed
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Properly use and store cleaning products and equipment in designated storage areas
- Ensure equipment is maintained in good working condition and report faults immediately
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, including chemical handling procedures
- Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, guests, and colleagues
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or resort environment preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and high cleaning standards
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
