Nestled in the heart of the Swan Valley, Wild Swan offers a premium Modern Australian dining experience, with a concentrated focus on showcasing local West Australian ingredients and produce. Our beverage offering includes a wine list populated by reserve collections of Mandoon Estate wines, and a seasonal cocktail program curated to complement the flavours and techniques of the food menu.
As the Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for the daily operations of our 70-seat venue across a combination of lunch and dinner services Friday to Sunday. We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable individual who is passionate about providing unique and unforgettable experiences for our guests, as well as delivering high standards of service by developing and mentoring our service team.
This is a full-time service-focused role with an availability commitment from Friday to Sunday required.
What we require for the role:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a manager or supervisor in a premium restaurant setting.
- Ability and desire to build rapport with guests, leading as the ‘face’ of the restaurant and contact for our regular customers.
- A positive, respectful and collaborative management style. This role requires a close working relationship with Wild Swan’s Head Chef as well as other departments within the Estate.
- Ability to monitor employees for professionalism and presentation with performance management and mentoring as required.
- Excellent communication, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong beverage and wine knowledge – ability to participate in the curation of cocktail menus, as well as select wine pairings and recommendations.
- Experience with reservations systems, with an ability to balance maximizing guest attendance with maintaining a strong level of service.
